Independence Day Forecast

As we all get ready to celebrate our nation’s birthday be prepared for the heat. Tomorrow July 3rd we will see highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. With the possibility of heat indexes approaching 100 degrees with a 50% chance of a pop-up rain shower or storm. The low for your Independence will start out with a balmy 73 degrees with high temperatures reaching low to mid 90s. Heat indexes for July 4th are expected to reach above 100 degrees in including a 20% chance of a pop-up shower or storm. Any pop-ups should clear out in time to enjoy all the fireworks. No advisories, watches, or warnings have been issued at this time. Please remember to stay hydrated if you are outside during the day and check on elderly neighbors.
